Booking Guide

Book a Salon via LINE
Step-by-Step

Can't speak Japanese? No problem. This guide gives you everything you need to reserve a men's esthetic salon using LINE messenger — including copy-paste Japanese messages ready to send.

Section 1 — Why LINE?

LINE is Japan's dominant messaging app with over 90 million users. Almost every men's esthetic salon uses LINE as its primary booking channel. It's faster than email, easier than phone calls, and lets you use Google Translate right inside the conversation.

Unlike phone calls, LINE gives you time to compose and translate your message before sending. Most salons reply within a few hours — and many reply faster than that.

Tip: Save each salon's LINE account before your trip so you can message quickly on arrival. Most salons also post LINE QR codes on their listing photos.

Section 2 — Set Up LINE (if you don't have it)

1

Download LINE

Available free on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Search for "LINE" — it's the green app with a white speech bubble.

2

Register with your phone number

LINE requires a phone number for verification. Enter your number including country code. An SMS code will be sent within seconds.

3

Set up your profile

Add a display name and photo. This is what the salon will see when you message them. A real name or nickname is fine.

4

Enable Google Translate (optional but helpful)

Install the Google Translate app and enable the "Tap to Translate" feature in settings. This lets you translate any text, anywhere on your phone, with one tap.

Section 3 — Finding the Salon's LINE

Every salon listing on this site shows a LINE button when the salon has a LINE account. Tap the LINE button on the salon's page — it will open LINE directly or show the LINE ID.

LINE button on the salon page

Look for the LINE logo or "LINE予約" button on the salon's listing. Tapping it opens LINE on your phone automatically.

LINE QR code in salon photos

Some salons post their LINE QR code in their photo gallery. In LINE, tap the Add Friends icon → QR code → scan with your camera.

Search by LINE ID

If the salon provides a LINE ID (e.g. @example-salon), go to LINE → Add Friends → Search → enter the ID exactly as written.

Section 4 — Copy-Paste Booking Messages

Copy these messages and paste them directly into LINE. Replace [DATE] and [TIME] with your preferred date and time using the format guide in Section 5 below.

Basic Booking Request
予約したいのですが、[DATE]の[TIME]ごろ空いていますか?
Yoyaku shitai no desu ga, [DATE] no [TIME] goro aite imasu ka?
"I'd like to make a reservation. Are you available around [TIME] on [DATE]?"
Requesting Specific Duration
[TIME]分コースをお願いしたいのですが。
([TIME]-pun kōsu wo onegai shitai no desu ga.)
"I'd like the [TIME]-minute course please." — Replace [TIME] with 60, 90, or 120.
If You Don't Speak Japanese
日本語が話せないですが、予約できますか?翻訳アプリを使います。
(Nihongo ga hanasemasen ga, yoyaku dekimasu ka? Honyaku apuri wo tsukaimasu.)
"I can't speak Japanese but can I make a reservation? I'll use a translation app."
Confirming a Reservation
ありがとうございます。[DATE]の[TIME]に伺います。
(Arigatou gozaimasu. [DATE] no [TIME] ni ukagaimasu.)
"Thank you. I will come on [DATE] at [TIME]."
Pro tip: After sending your first message, switch to Google Translate's conversation mode to handle the back-and-forth naturally. Most salon staff are patient with non-Japanese speakers — they get international customers regularly.

Section 5 — Date & Time in Japanese

Use these formats when filling in [DATE] and [TIME] in the messages above.

6月1日Roku-gatsu tsuitachiJune 1st

日曜日NichiyōbiSunday
今週末KonshūmatsuThis weekend
明日AshitaTomorrow
Example: "5月25日の午後3時ごろ空いていますか?" means "Are you available around 3 PM on May 25th?"

Section 6 — What to Do If There's No Reply

Wait 24 hours, then try again. Many salons are busy during peak hours (evenings and weekends). A single follow-up message after 24 hours is fine.
Try calling. Open the LINE conversation, tap the phone icon. If you can't speak Japanese, show the screen to the salon staff when you call: 予約したいです
(I'd like to make a reservation)
Try a walk-in. Some salons accept walk-ins if they have availability. Show the translation below on your phone screen at reception: 今日、予約なしで入れますか?
(Can I come in today without a reservation?)
Try a different salon. With 1233 salons listed, there's no shortage of options. Use the search to find salons in your area.

Section 7 — Ready to Book?

Now that you know how to book, browse the salon listings and find the right place for you. Each listing shows LINE contact details, course pricing, and therapist profiles.
