Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori Area
Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori are the most iconic addresses in all of Osaka — the Glico sign, the canal, the covered shopping arcade stretching for 600 metres. Between sightseeing sessions, this is one of the best spots in Japan to book a men’s esthetic salon. Everything is within walking distance.
Why Shinsaibashi?
Access from Landmarks
Everything in this area is walkable. Here’s how far salons are from the spots you’re already visiting:
-
Dotonbori (Glico Sign)WALK 5 minutes on foot. Head north from Ebisubashi Bridge up Midosuji or the parallel side streets. Salons begin appearing immediately on either side.
-
Shinsaibashi-suji ArcadeWALK 3 minutes. Step out of the arcade into any east or west side street. Most salons are located in the quieter streets running parallel to the main arcade.
-
Namba ParksWALK 8 minutes north along Midosuji Avenue. The walk passes Dotonbori along the way — combine a canal stroll with your salon trip.
-
Amerikamura (American Village)WALK 5 minutes west from the arcade. Amerika-mura’s Triangle Park is the local landmark — salons in this pocket offer a younger, more casual vibe.
